PUBLIC EVENT, Oahu Intertribal Council Group Event for Public Communities, Bishop Museum, Honolulu Hawai’i

And there she is! Tipi is up at the entrance to the Bishop Museum, you can’t miss it! Mucho Mahalo’s to our tipi crew, Lorne Lewis for transporting our tipi poles safely, Brad & Gaby Bearsheart for your prayers and song, Lehi Kaluhi for muscle, and Loa Simoes for burning sage. Mahalo also to Lisa Ka’ano’i for our spam musubi breakfast! Shout out to Taylour from the #BishopMuseum staff for your cheerfulness, excitement, snacks and water for the team. Special mahalo also to Vernon Viernes from Ku Ola Kane, a men’s program at Ke Ola Mamo for his pule (prayer) and oli (song). And last, but not least a mahalo nui to Rob Riekena, captain of the Kamaouli sailing wa’a for being keeper of the tipi poles at his home on top of the mountain at #camppalehua since 2018. Mahalo Rob! And finally, Aloha & Mahalo to Creator for this morning’s blessing of rain and keeping us cool. Today is good day! See ya’ll at the powwow!
